Charlotte Garnes received her undergraduate degree in Criminal Justice from Georgia Southern University in Statesboro, GA and her Master of Arts in Counseling from Webster University in Columbia, SC. Charlotte has co-launched Reintegrated Voices, an organization that specializes in training those formerly incarcerated on how to use their voices and experiences to 1provide them with a platform for success. Innovative Staffing Solutions, launched in 2020 and headed by Charlotte, will staff and assist in employing formerly incarcerated/directly impacted individuals. Charlotte will also train businesses and organizations in hiring those who have been formerly incarcerated/directly impacted to ensure successful reintegration into the workforce environment. Advocate, mentor, social change agent, and educator all describe who Charlotte is and the work she has done. Her most recent endeavor is creating curriculums/workshops focused on workforce development and successful reintegration for formerly incarcerated and directly impacted individuals. It is Charlotte’s desire to assist these individuals with more professional and wholesome opportunities to obtain employment, housing, and goals for self-sufficiency. Through her personal experience and focused vision, Charlotte intends to shift the community’s perception of mass incarceration by eradicating the stigma and prejudices that surround those formerly incarcerated and/or the directly impacted.
